History and religion

1000 years before our era, people came from the north and settled in Indonesia, and the Hinduism grew up. In the 1300s Islam came and took control, but not on Bali.
Indonesia has 240 million innhabitants. 86 percent of them are Muslims, 10 percent of them are Christian and 1,8 percent are Budhists. On Bali it is mostly Hindues, which constitiutes 1 percent of the entire population in Indonesia. In the 1500s europeans tried to make colonies and take over the country with spice trade. In the 1800s the Netherlands took full control over the country. During the war, Japan had control of Indonesia. The country did not become independent until August 17th 1949, which is now Indonesias national day. Most of the inhabitants are muslim. The muslims belive in Allah. They follow the messege from the Koran. There are about 1,1 billion muslims in the world. Jerusalem is a holy town for the muslims. They pray in mosques, and they pray 5 times a day. They fast in the month of Ramadan. The sentence they belives in the most is: "Allah is the only God, and Muhammed is his truely messenger". The Koran is a holy skript for the muslimes, they belive and follow it. A Mosque is like a christen church.
